Dozens of feathered species ‘lost’ to scientists

Most of the species lost were in tropical areas, small islands and mountainous areas.

Scientists urge volunteers to observe the birds more closely and take photos of rare species when they meet them. Probably, at least this will help to form an objective assessment of the extinction situation.
