Remember your interests
Sometimes there is a switch of goals on the way to your dreams. You may think that a position will bring you freedom and prosperity, but in reality it will only become a shackle and turn your world into a chore. Know exactly what you are doing it for. Think and decide whether you need to work as an errand girl, carrying coffee to unhelpful bosses, or whether you should take a risk and create your own business with a team of like-minded people.

Rejection can be good luck in disguise
Becoming a screen star might be your blue dream, and of course, another rejection shatters your confidence. That doesn’t mean you should give up on your goal, but it might be worth looking for other ways to do it. Maybe you’re following the same algorithm time after time. If you do the same thing, the result will be the same. And then failure does not mean failure. In English there is an expression a blessing in disguise, which means “luck in disguise”. Perhaps some door closes only to open new perspectives for you. It is enough to remember how George Lucas was forced to end his career as a professional racing driver after an injury. Who would have thought that it was his skills that would come in handy in creating exciting races in the “Star Wars” series? It is unlikely that he regrets becoming a world-famous director.

As we get older, it’s harder to make friends, so socializing at work, where we spend most of the day, serves as a nice outlet. Scientists have even conducted an experiment in which a friendly team showed better performance than one in which everyone was for himself. Hostility, blackmail and distrust dulled creativity, and the team itself was slow to accomplish its tasks. From this we can conclude that a “green” environment in terms of communication is necessary. However, it is important not to substitute concepts by placing too many expectations on colleagues. One should not share too personal or share career ambitions.

Friendship will limit the flow of new ideas
Since friends are most often like-minded, sooner or later in such a collective, the manifestation of one’s own opinion, going against the point of view of the majority, can jeopardize the relationship. After all, your friend will sincerely hope that you will support her project out of solidarity.

If you and your colleague are in roughly the same position, be prepared that sooner or later the boss will want to promote or cut one of you. Even if you wouldn’t betray your friend for anything, she may have different views on the matter. It is a common situation when one friend rises at the expense of the other, leaving him or her behind. Imagine that the boss is looking for a person for a prestigious job abroad, and your friend found out about it, made every effort, and did not share it with you. Is it a betrayal or not? First of all, answer this question yourself and decide what is your priority.

You’re putting off making a decision
Do you want me to get you a coffee? Do you want to go to the movies? Are you planning to go to study abroad? If you are constantly thinking over the answers to even the most trivial questions, then unwittingly your indecision is broadcast to those around you. There is no need to overthink the consequences of decisions: the movie may turn out to be bad, the coffee may not taste good, and the opportunity to study elsewhere may not bring happiness. But none of this means you shouldn’t try. It’s better to do than to regret missed opportunities.

Agree with everyone
If you put the opinion of others above your own, then don’t be surprised that one day society won’t reckon with you. You can’t please everyone, especially since the obliging nature of many is annoying, in fact. And then people get used to being indulged. A hundred times you help – they will forget, once you refuse – remember.

Strangely enough businessmen and aristocrats don’t keep exercise machines at home. Instead, they work out at the gym among the faces of their circle. They also have special hobbies like golf, tennis, rallying, rafting and equestrian sports which are also public events. So the norm of physical activities they fulfill outside their homes. Soft toys
Do you want to become a billionaire’s wife? Then forget about soft toys, at least outside the nursery. It is unlikely that your chosen one will tolerate a pile of teddy bears on the bed. Their presence is kind of considered bad taste, alas.

Reproductions of famous paintings
Why do they need reproductions when they can buy the original? For rich people, buying a painting is not so much about pleasing the eye and aesthetic needs, but about acquiring a long-term investment. That’s why they are so eager to buy works of art at auction, knowing that over time they will increase in value and multiply their capital.

“Just know that I am always with you and ready to talk if you want to talk or just be there for you”
